Listening Ear Service

Talk to someone on an Acoustic Neuroma journey.

The Listening Ear Register initiative is made up of BANA members who have volunteered to provide peer-to-peer support to other members by phone or email.

This service enables members to speak with someone who may be undergoing the same management option or experiencing similar symptoms. While Listening Ear volunteers are not qualified medical practitioners and cannot provide medical or treatment advice, they can offer understanding, reassurance, and share their personal experiences. Speaking with someone who understands can often help reduce feelings of anxiety and isolation.

Members requesting support are matched as closely as possible with a volunteer who has a similar experience. Many participants go on to continue supporting one another throughout their Acoustic Neuroma journey.

If you would like to speak with a member of the Listening Ear Register, please contact the BANA office.

If you are a BANA member and would like to join the Listening Ear Register to support others, please contact the office.
